What is play?
Good question! The dictionary says play is "engaging in activity for enjoyment". I'm sure you remember it, you more than likely did it as a kid. Our bodies and minds are built to move and at Play we want to give you an opportunity to find play in movement. We focus on enjoyment and presenting movement in a fun way that inspires play in all of us.

- Private? All that means is you sign up online for classes with the artist whose class you wish to take. We don't have regular hours or a front desk. There is no app, heck we don't even have a phone number!
- Movement? We aren't simply a yoga studio, an acrobatic gym, a dance studio, or ... well you get the idea. We embrace all kinds of movement. Hopefully you can find a movement here that inspires play in you!

We are professional acroyoga-bats, acroyoga teachers, and yoga teachers. We've been moving and performing for over 10 years combined. We are active members of the local professional movement arts and yoga communities.
We are also regular people and movement is our hobby. A hobby we hope to share with you! |
Why are we doing this?
We've been there. Trying to run classes, find space to practice our art. Running all over the city trying to meet our needs. Spending more time on rental contracts, commuting all over the city, and the emails ... so many emails! All the time never sure if we will have a space tomorrow to do what we love. There are few supports available for movement artists, few options.
So we decided to try and change that in our own little way. We decided to invest in our present and future by creating a space where we can grow our art. And we want to be able to share that with others just like us: movers of all kinds, students, teachers, artists, ... you! |
